Superposition Theorem
The Superposition Theorem states that in a linear circuit with multiple independent sources, the current or voltage for any element in the circuit is the algebraic sum of the currents or voltages caused by each independent source acting alone.
Steps:
- Turn on one source while turning off all others (replace voltage sources with short circuits and current sources with open circuits).
- Calculate the current or voltage for each source independently.
- Sum up the contributions from all sources to find the total current or voltage.
